AI that ships.
Not AI that demos.
Most AI projects end in a slide deck. Ours end in software your customers actually use. We know because we built our own — three products, live, taking real payments, run by one small company.
Proof, not references
Every one of these is live, takes real payments, and can be opened right now. We built them with the same methods we would bring to your project.
Live rooms and ticketed events for a worldwide audience — real-time translation, voice, screen sharing, payments and moderation.
quavara.com →A conversational tutor for language learners: spoken practice, a usage wallet, and subscription billing.
quavril.com →A geo-hunt across 100 real destinations with a collectible economy. No install, no account — open it and play.
quavara.com/play →What we take on
For founders and owners with a real business and no way to ship software. Not just the app — the parts nobody warns you about: payments and subscriptions, sales tax across borders, terms and privacy, hosting, deployment and the thing that pages you at 2am. We have done every one of those for our own products, with our own money on the line.
Fractional CTO where you need the role filled but not a salary.
Something was started and never finished. We assess honestly whether to complete it or replace it, and say which — before any work is booked.
Customer-facing tools, internal automation, payments and billing, multilingual support. Delivered in small reversible steps you can see.
An unglamorous audit of where it pays for itself and where it will not. We will talk you out of the ones that will not.
Initiatives
Living Languages
Roughly 43% of the world's 7,000+ languages are considered endangered, and about one loses its last speaker every two weeks. The world is good at recording them — archives, dictionaries, corpora. What is far harder to give a heritage learner is somewhere to practise speaking when few fluent speakers remain.
Through Quavril we are opening our conversational tutors to communities working to keep their languages in daily use. Communities lead and retain ownership; speakers are partners who are credited and compensated, never a data source. Aligned with the UNESCO International Decade of Indigenous Languages (2022–2032).
Honest about where this is: the program is beginning. We are seeking our first community partnerships now and would rather grow slowly and get it right.
How we quote
A price, a date, and what happens when something changes
Fixed scope, fixed price, written down first. You get a short statement of work listing exactly what you receive, by when, and — just as importantly — what is not included. No work begins before you have it.
Deadlines are ours to beat, not yours to chase. If the work runs long at our end, that is our cost, not yours. If you need something outside the agreed scope, it becomes a written change order with its own price and its own effect on the date — never a surprise on the invoice.
Delays on your side move the date, not the price. Projects stall waiting on access, content or approvals. When that happens the deadline shifts by the time lost and nothing else changes.
Independent research
Historical cryptanalysis
Alongside our commercial work we run independent research in historical cryptanalysis — statistical attacks on manuscripts that have never been read. We build the detector, calibrate it against in-domain controls, and run it. Six corpora tested, and the null results are reported as nulls.
In this field the discipline that matters is not finding a pattern — it is proving your own finding was noise and saying so. Our record includes the instruments that failed calibration and the signals we killed. A paper quantifying writing campaigns in one undeciphered codex is in preparation.
Some of our development is unreleased and is not described publicly, including work we intend to protect. It is absent from this page by choice rather than alluded to vaguely. Under an appropriate agreement we can discuss scope and results.
Standing
A real company, verifiable in public records
Being first to trust a small firm is the hard part. Here is what can be checked without asking us.
